MEDICAL RESEARCH, CONNECTED

Advance discovery.
Protect the people
behind it.

A new foundation for researchers, clinicians, and life sciences organizations to work together. Built around a vision of controlled data access, accountable AI, and patient privacy.

01 / THE PLATFORM

Four divisions.
One shared purpose.

Bring knowledge together while respecting the boundaries around it. Explore the proposed capabilities of each Hybrid Discovery division.

01 / DATAPlanned

Discovery Vault

Keep valuable research data under deliberate control.

A proposed home for medical and pharmaceutical datasets, with institution-defined custody, permissions, and permitted uses.

Data sovereignty & accessExplore division
02 / COLLABORATIONPlanned

Discovery Clinical

Give complex cases a wider circle of expertise.

A proposed workspace for physicians and specialists to exchange case insights with appropriate permissions and professional accountability.

Clinical knowledge exchangeExplore division
03 / PARTICIPATIONPlanned

Discovery Trials

Make research participation more understandable.

A proposed connection between study teams and participants, with clear research purposes, controlled disclosure, and study-specific permissions.

Studies & participant choiceExplore division
04 / INTELLIGENCEPlanned

Discovery AI

Explore medical intelligence with accountability.

A proposed environment for AI-assisted research across institutions, combining federated approaches with purpose limits and privacy evaluation.

Governed research intelligenceExplore division

A vision, with clear boundaries. All four divisions and their workflows are planned. This preview introduces the platform; it does not collect medical data, enroll participants, or provide clinical services.

02 / THE PRIVACY APPROACH

Discovery needs trust.
Trust needs more
than a promise.

The goal is useful collaboration with explicit boundaries: who can participate, what they can access, and how the results may be used.

Why patient-level privacy matters
01

Identity is the starting point.

Planned access would distinguish a signed-in person, a verified professional role, and permission for a specific study or dataset.

02

Keep custody deliberate.

The intended architecture favors institution-controlled data and approved computation. Sensitive medical records would stay off the public blockchain.

03

Measure privacy where it matters.

Federated learning alone is insufficient. The roadmap calls for patient-level privacy testing, appropriate protections, and review of outputs.

04

Make participation specific.

Research purposes, access periods, and withdrawal limits should be explained before participation. Shared sign-in would not automatically share medical data.

03 / THE HYBRID ECOSYSTEM

A focused vertical.
A connected foundation.

Hybrid Discovery is envisioned as the medical research vertical of the wider Hybrid ecosystem. These are proposed integration roles, not live Discovery connections.

Hybrid Discovery

Medical research
with purpose and permission.

Proposed architecture

Hybrid-ID

Authentication, accountable identities, and separately authorized access.

Hybrid-Chain

Selected provenance and settlement workflows, where appropriate.

Hybrid Cortex

AI orchestration within approved research purposes and task boundaries.

PLANNED ROLE

Federation infrastructure

Coordination and computation across participating institutional environments.

PLANNED ROLE

Connecting an identity or an AI agent would not itself grant access to patient data, permission to act clinically, or authority to spend.

A SHARED RESEARCH JOURNEY

One question.
Four distinct permissions.

Follow a fictional recovery study across the four planned divisions. Each stage has its own purpose, responsible people, and access decision.

  1. 01 / DATASET APPROVALDiscovery Vault

Find appropriate resources and review a specific use.

  2. 02 / PARTICIPATIONDiscovery Trials

Explain the study and record specific choices.

  3. 03 / CASE ACCESSDiscovery Clinical

    Bring in authorized professional expertise.

  4. 04 / TASK AUTHORITYDiscovery AI

Run an approved analysis and review outputs.

04 / THE PATH FORWARD

Build the foundation.
Earn the next step.

A proposed sequence, with progress tied to working evidence. No launch dates or service availability are committed.

  1. PHASE 01Current: concept review

    Define the foundation

Review the four-division vision, institutional needs, data boundaries, and the first research collaboration use case.

This website is the review starting point.
  2. PHASE 02Planned

    Validate a focused pilot

Propose Vault and one collaboration workflow. Test identity, permissions, data custody, and privacy before broader use.

    Requires implementation and partner validation.
  3. PHASE 03Planned

    Expand with evidence

Develop Clinical, Trials, and AI workflows as their professional, participant, and operational requirements are met.

Each capability needs its own readiness review.

A FEW IMPORTANT DETAILS

Clarity from
the beginning.

What can I use today?

This website is a presentation of the Hybrid Discovery concept. You can explore the four divisions, their planned scope, and the proposed architecture. Research tools, data uploads, clinical collaboration, trial enrollment, and AI services are not available here.

Is Hybrid Discovery a healthcare provider?

The proposed product is infrastructure for medical research and professional collaboration. This website offers no patient care or diagnosis service. The Clinical vision keeps care decisions with qualified treating professionals.

Will patients be able to participate directly?

Direct patient participation is part of the longer-term Trials vision. Proposed workflows include study information, specific permissions, and participation records. No patient data contribution or compensation program is currently offered.

Does federated AI guarantee privacy?

No. Keeping data distributed does not eliminate the possibility that a model reveals information about its training data. The proposed AI approach therefore includes patient-level risk evaluation, appropriate privacy protections, and controlled output access. These protections still need to be implemented and validated.

Does my Hybrid-ID automatically share my data?

No. A proposed Hybrid-ID integration would establish who is signing in. Dataset access, professional permissions, study participation, and optional disclosures would require separate authorization. Discovery sign-in is not connected in this preview.
